Vintage Wedding in the Spring
From beginning to end it’s hard to imagine a more unique, beautifully styled vintage wedding. Laura and Andrew’s wonderful Spring wedding featured many unique vintage elements, from pimms on the lawn and a delicious high tea with pretty vintage china to fabulous 1940′s & 1950′s fashion styling for the bride, groom and guests.
We love this wedding for: beautiful original vintage wedding dresses, seasonal spring flowers, the grooms top to toe vintage styling from bow tie and braces down to shiny contrast brogues, delightful wedding cake garlanded with rosebuds and daisies and of course a happy couple!
Blue, Pink and White Spring flowers for a Vintage Wedding
A wonderful abundance of seasonal spring flowers were used for the pastel bridal bouquet and table arrangements. The bouquet itself featured delphinium, peonies, hellebore, fragrant hyacinth, bouvarida, carnations and daisies. The stems were bound with lace and accessorized with an antique brooch, perfect for the finishing touch to a vintage wedding bouquet!
Table arrangements had a just-picked slightly wild look that worked well with the eclectic table decor of dainty mismatched vintage china, teapots and floral doilies. Spring flowers in pastel hues were scattered in dainty glass vases. Female guests were gifted with hand knitted cupcakes, created by Laura’s mother, whilst the male guests were treated to personalised handkerchiefs.
Vintage Wedding Styling
Family and friends joined in with the vintage fashion theme, with styling from the 1940′s and 1950′s adding a memorable fun touch to the whole day. The grooms men looked particularly dashing with their shiny brogues!
On hand to capture every special moment was Charlene Morton of Charlene Morton Photography “The entire day was a flawless blend of vintage and tradition, with family and close friends sharing the day together. The evening entertainment included a rockabilly band, and outside barbecue, a lovely relaxed evening to top off a perfect wedding day. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Brown!”
