June wedding with an Informal Country Theme

I am getting married next June at a country mill. I would like an informal country theme, around the colours of pink and purple/lilac. I would like some scent, but nothing too over powering, as their are some asthma suffers. Please help!!

A lot of flowers lose their scent the minute they are cut. Many spring flowers retain their scent, but June is too far on for these to be in season. For the colour scheme you have chosen I can recommend stocks as a wonderful flower with a lovely scent, which is not overpowering.

The scented issue is a difficult one if you're concerned about asthma sufferers. Scented flowers are always going to be an issue for people with asthma and hay fever. I'd certainly stay away from lilies (especially Stargazers), but you could think about incorporating sweet peas, peonies, freesia, bouvardia and tuberoses. Although commercially grown roses have very little scent, they are great for asthma sufferers.
