I am looking for a deep purple coloured rose that is the same as Cadbury's chocolate purple. Can you suggest the name of one please?"

Unfortunately they haven't yet grown a proper Cadbury's purple rose. A much deeper purple rose is the Black Beauty, and lighter shades are Avant Garde, Ocean Song, Pacific Blue and Blue Curiosa.

There is an exciting new freeze dried rose, that you can get in purple, and they actually feel fresh. Otherwise the best colour match to Cadbury purple is lisianthus, which isn't a totally dissimilar to a small rose.

I am not aware of a Cadbury purple rose that is available as a cut flower. There is a shrub called a Ebb Tide rose that a specialist may be able to get hold of, but you would need to ask your florist about this. There are lilac roses available like Blue Curiosa and Cool Water roses.

As an alternative to roses the perfect flowers would be the Purple double Lisianthus or Eustoma. This is also known as the Japanese rose due to its rose like appearance and yet paper fine petals. This is the perfect match to any Cadbury coloured scheme.
