Julie and Darren's engagement may not have been as romantic as some but it was still special! "We had already been shopping for the ring and then Darren kept hold of it until he felt the time was right. We were in my parents living room and he just asked if I would marry him! Not the way I thought he would propose but still I enjoyed every moment! Julie chose silk flowers for her wedding "The best thing about the flowers was that they were all silk so were complete a month before the actual day. I picked them up knowing that they were all organised so didn't have to worry about them. My bouquet is now in a display cabinet so I can look them and remember the day!" Darren and the male attendants had a button hole of a single rose with ivy leaves. Julie wanted a 'natural' feel for her wedding "We decided on white and yellow flowers with greenery which came from the ivy leaves. As I am quite tall I decided on a pear drop shaped bouquet as I felt this would be flattering to both my shape and my dress. My bouquet was made up of large roses, bud roses and orchids with ivy leaves"
The silk flowers looked stunning and were able to withstand the hot weather perfectly "The wedding day was hot so I think that if I had real flowers these may have started to look a bit 'tired' by the end of the day. This was a huge benefit of having silk flowers!" Choosing quality silk flowers means that they look real and you are not restricted by seasons. The wedding theme of cream was also used on the decorations for the wedding car. Julie chose her wedding dress first then as the dress was ivory decided that yellow and white would look good against the dress. She also took care to choose a pear drop shape for her bouquet to complement both the slim line silhouette of her dress and her height.
With careful planning and attention to detail Julie created just the natural look for her wedding that she planned.
