Real Dream Weddings... Robert and Veronica at Bath & Tennis Club, Palm Beach

Robert and Veronica's fabulous Palm Beach, Florida wedding had an enchanted castle theme. They created their magical day with hot pink and orange colours, romantic trailing roses and ivy, touches of sparkle and a pinch of stardust!

Many young women dream of a feeling like a star but little did Veronica realise that her moment would take such a romatic turn. " It was our 4th year anniversary." remembers Veronica. " Robert called me to come downstairs. As I left the elevator I saw a super stretched hummer limo waiting for me and inside were my 4 closest couples of friends, but no Robert". The limo took Veronica's and her freinds on a mystery trip which ended outside a private theatre. Robert was waiting at the theatre where he handed out booklets and lead the party inside. Needless to say Veronica was shocked and still didn’t know what was going on "We sat down in the front row of an empty theatre, and I asked myself, ‘what are we watching?'. I looked at the program in my hand and at the top was 'Celebrating the Life of Veronica and her love for Dance in the Past, Present and Future'. There were pictures of me in 3 rows depicting me as a child in dance 'the Past', me with my best friends at my current age titled 'the Present' and the last row were pictures of him and I all over the world, titled 'the Future'. Veronica was stunned as Robert took to the stage and hosted the show as if the theatre was full - not just an intimate audience of Veronica and their closest freinds. Robert had produced an amazing show with dance troops performing aspects of Veronica's life. Her past was represented by a ballet with a sweet song representing her childhood ballerina days, funky jazz dances with lots of girls representing her friends and a professional ballroom couple representing their love for each other. The final act arrived and Robert asked Veronica to come to the stage "he said we were in the present, and explained that I need to come on stage to represent the present, so there I went, and then he proposed on one knee and of course I answered with a HUGE YES, and well, he was obviously happy that went well because then he had the ballroom dancers dance to a beautiful tango that represented our future during our honeymoon! IT WAS STUNNING!. We got back in the limo after thanking the groups, and theatre staff, and we went to all of our first date spots till close! That was a wrap: mission accomplished! "
Veronica wore an Allure Couture Victorian ball gown that was hand tailored in Miami. The dress featured a strapless sweetheart, corset style bodice, adorned with lace and crystals as well as bejewelled with 10 rows of Swarovski crystals both at the edge of the sweetheart line and bottom of the corset dividing the beadwork on the bodice from the oversized bundled silk taffeta and organza gown. The dress was detailed with embellished swarovski crystal silk roses tucked into each of the gown’s bustles all the way to the bottom and an amazing 5000+ swarovski crystals adorned the 5ft train with a romantic, asymmetric, floral ivy pattern that climbed up toward the top of the gown. Veronica's dress weighed an incredible 50lbs. Veronica's chose a classic elegant style for her hair and make up Classic. She had an up-do accessorized with a beautiful set of sworavski decorated roses nestled in the center of the twist. She had a crystal edged veil hanging below the hair-do which matched a front veil decorated with sworavski crystals.
Veronica's bridesmaids wore Miss America’s designer, Tony Bowls gowns. The gorgeous dresses comprised of beautifully fitted tangerine orange silk draping to the floor, decorated with multicolored crystals growing from the center of the breast-line wrapping all the way to the back of the dresses and ending with a tangerine colored tulle and silk train. Veronicas colour scheme was hot pink and orange everything. From the flowers, the tables, the dresses, the jewellery, placecard holders, table numbers, outside umbrellas, and even her garter belt! The final touch of the theme was the romantic organic dimensions within all of the floral arrangements with many many sparkles defined by hanging crystals everywhere. Robert wore a hand tailored Calvin Klein black tuxedo complemented with a classic white vest and bow tie beneath his 3 button down jacket. The groomsmen wore Ralph Lauren simple black tuxedos with matching black hound's-tooth vests and black bowties
Veronica has very special memories of the ceremony "I designed the ceremony to appear as if it were in an abandoned castle where ivy and roses grew and crept out of everywhere…and they did. Above an extra large fireplace mantle rose two very large and tall wooden banisters that rose way above toward the air adjoining a very romantic foliage and multi colored rose covered balcony. Two guitarists and an angelic singer sang special songs throughout different segments of the ceremony acapella. My bridal team walked down the aisle accompanied by a four string quartet. As the music played I ‘high-5'd’ my father then we walked down the aisle. I was ready, I was stoked, I was totally in the moment. It was short and sweet, and we were still able to entail two readings read by Robert’s twin brother and his mother’s twin brother." Veronica designed centrepieces consisting of four-foot Curly Willow Trees budding hot pink, orange, or violet orchids, ornamented with an abundance of dripping strands of crystals, and finalizing the pieces with dramatically lit hanging glass votives arranged by Flowers of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. At the Ceremony the aisle runner was covered in a zig-zag zag of hot pink and orange petals adorned by a spread of violet purple orchids leading up to the backdrop of the fireplace containing over forty lit pillared candles, following a bushel of roses and orchids climbing from the ground to the balcony above spreading itself in all directions and adorned by huge amounts of curly willow branches and large green moss and ivy…special lighting shined through the roses in midair and directed its soft and warm gleam at Robert and Veronica To welcome everyone at the entrance, Veronica had arranged for over 10,000 hot pink and orange rose petals to be scattered on the floor down a one hundred foot corridor lit by many hurricane floor lamps. Veronica and Robert welcomed their guests in a very large lounge area at the old Bath & Tennis club. This fantastic space is enclosed by an impressive high cathedral and carved wooden beam ceiling. A jazz duo played at a grand piano during cocktails - the signature cocktail of the night was the “Effin-tini” comprised of pop rocks around the rim and primarily consisting of strawberry infused vodka. Veronica and Robert also gave gifts to thank their guests with cuff links for the men and diamond accessory necklaces and earrings for the lady guests. Near the table where guests signed in stood a hand painted portrait of Veronica framed on an easel by Ricardo Morales-Hendry, her father.
The dramatic cake celebrated the couples wedding colours, tangerine orange and hot pink. The cake consisted of a towering 5 tiers of different hatbox-like levels, each decorated uniquely, accented in gold, topped by a gold vase supporting a topiary ball of tangerine orange coloured roses. The groom’s cake was an impressive model of the NASA Space Shuttle iced in white and black carrying the message: “Blasting Off Into Marriage”. Entertainment was a key factor in Veronica and Robert's wedding celebrations. On arrival at the venue there was a piper in full Scottish attire playing the bagpipes to celebrate Veronica's Scottish heritage. A four-string quartet played throughout the duration of the ceremony, along with an opening act by an angelic-voiced female singer accompanied by two string acoustical guitarists singing and playing acapella during unique sections of the couples ceremony. After the ceremony during the cocktail hour the couple had a jazz duo (sax and piano) dazzling their guests, followed by a seven piece Latin fusion band, as well as Veronica's favourite Miami radio station playing as DJ for the night. One of Veronica's special highlights from the day was the professional electric harp player "He brought the house down into their ‘let loose’ mode! He defined “true experience” within everyone’s core-soul!". A sensational combination of colours for the bridesmaids bouquet- fantastic roses in hot pinks and oranges create a dramatic impact - a hot contemporary twist for a classic bouquet design.
Veronica and Robert had many special moments at their celebration. "Having 100% of the party fly down to Florida for my very special day was the most exceptional feeling I ever had – everyone in one room from when I was young and growing, they were there – all of them. Having my favourite people in the world walk down the aisle before me and after me, knowing we were there together was my special moment." says Veronica Veronica spent a year planning and designing her wedding " I was the conductor – I made it happen. It was my baby, my project, my all. I lived it for a year and made sure everything was precisely representing exactly what we wanted our guests to experience including ourselves! " The celebration lasted into the night as the wedding party went onto a club in Palm Beach where a huge entourage of friends followed "We arrived dressed for any occasion, wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos and all, we danced and drank our heart out till close." Veronica has a fabulous memory of one of her girlfriends "She decided to get ambitious and is very well trained in dance, but forgot that she had a miss America dress with many layers on. She decided to do some break dancing moves right in the middle of the dance floor, but first tucked her many layers onto the top of her chest where now she looked like she had a huge blanket before her. Without any regards she broke out some serious moves, flipped her self into a handstand, with legs wide in the air, she did a controlled split where WOOOOPS her dress fell over her head and everyone got to know her better!!! " all captured on camera of course as some of the best wedding memories are!
Veronica and Roberts celebrated their wedding in the fabulous Bath & Tennis Club, Palm Beach, Florida . Their day was filled with music, fun and many special moments with their guests and family.
