Real Dream Weddings... Ian and Bridget at Wicksteed Park

Ian and Bridget wanted to have a wedding that had a traditional theme with a modern twist. Their relaxed attitude was mirrored in their glorious day held at Wicksteed Park Northamptonshire where they had a Civil Ceremony and Reception.

Ian and Bridget's colour scheme created a stunning effect at their wedding and reception. Bridget found some lovely lilac and purple cut out hearts on ebay and used on them on the Invitations and Order of Service, Bridget designed and made all the stationery herself. For the wedding service they hired two bay trees, decorated them with ribbon and lit them with fairy lights placing one at either side where they took their vows. Ribbons decorated every aisle chair and the look was made complete with candles and flowers. The reception decorations were simply but effective with many items found online by Bridget. Bridget created her own seating plan for the guests to use and incorporated their love of red wine by naming the tables after red wine grapes such as Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet! Bridget's talents continued to shine by making all of the wedding favours. Almonds in lilac and ivory nets with matching ribbon and flowers for the ladies. Lilac satin top hats filled with chocolate footballs for the men. Instead of place name cards Bridget created menu cards with each guests name as a keepsake. Purple feathers in each wine glass with silver and purple table confetti scattered over the tables completed their special room.
